Actress Kareena Kapoor Khan broke the silence on the controversy surrounding the name of her second son, Jeh. Khan welcomed his second child in February this year and said there is no negativity in his life. Speaking of the vehement opposition she and her actor husband Saif Ali Khan faced, the Kurban star said that Bollywood celebrities are easy targets for people. “We are talking about two innocent children,” he said, adding that “they will continue to be happy and positive.” After media reports said Khan’s book called him Jehangir Ali Khan, the controversy surrounding Jeh’s name came into the spotlight. Earlier, Khan’s father and actor, Randhir Kapoor, had said that the baby’s name was Jeh.
Speaking of the COVID-19 pandemic, the actress said that there are more pressing issues that require attention. “I think the most important thing is not what is my son doing’,” the actor said. Kareena Kapoor Khan added she will begin to meditate to maintain a positive attitude in the face of trolling.
A similar controversy erupted in 2016, when Khan and her husband revealed Taimur was the name of their first child. The couple faced large-scale attacks on social media, with people asking them to name their children as “Turkish invaders.” The couple had to clarify later that they simply liked the meaning of the name Taimur, which means iron.
