After the remarkable win of India against England at Lords International Cricket Council (ICC) today announced the latest test bowler and batsman ranking.
On Wednesday ICC announced the latest Test ranking of batsmen and bowlers. So far India and England have played their two test matches out of five. In two matches England captain Joe Root is leading with 386 runs which helped him to get the second position in the list.
Rohit Sharma who scored 166 runs so far helped him to achieve his career-best ranking with 773 rating. Indian skipper Virat Kohli and Wicket keeper Rishabh Pant stand at position 5 and 7 respectively.
Talking about bowler’s ranking Mohammed Siraj who took 8 wickets in the second test jumped to 18th position. After the update, Ravichandran Ashwin kept his position at 2nd place where Jasprit Bumrah who took 9 wickets in the first test against England at Nottingham slipped to 10th position.
James Anderson who has taken 9 wickets so far in the series has jumped to 6th position after the latest update whereas Stuart Broad who was ruled out after the first test due to injury is at 8th position in the list.
India and England will play their 3rd test of the series from Wednesday at Leeds. For the 3rd test England has included Dawid Malan and Previous openers Dom Sibley and Zak Crawley has been omitted.
