Uttar Pradesh former CM Kalyan Singh dead

On Saturday, The former Chief Minister Kalyan Singh died in Lucknow at the Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical science(SGPGIMS). He died at 89. The reason behind his death was sepsis and multiple-organ failure.

He was under the treatment at SGPGIMS, since July 4 in Lucknow. His condition went worse on Friday and he was placed under dialysis. His body was brought to his Mall Avenue Residence.

Kalyan Singh birth place is in the Atrauli town of Uttar Pradesh Aligarh district. Previously, he was Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh. He became CM twice, June 1991- December 1992 and September 1997 – November 1999. He was Governor of Rajasthan between 2014 and 2019. In 1967, elected to the state Legislature.

PM Narendra Modi landed in Lucknow to pay his respect to the former CM Kalyan Singh.

“To fulfil the void left by him, we should do maximum hard work for his ideals, his promises and leave no effort in achieving his dreams,” PM Modi said.

“In this time of misery, I don’t have words to express. He was down to earth political leader, efficient administrator and also a great human being. In the development of Utter Pradesh, his works are unerasable. In this time of grief, I have sympathy for his relatives and supports”: PM tweeted

Earlier, Adityanath tweeted about it. Uttar Pradesh, CM Yogi Adityanath had announced a 3-day state mourning and public holiday on Monday. This is done to give respect to the departed leader.

BJP MP Rajveer Singh, son of late Kalyan Singh said ” He may not be physically among us, but we’ll complete his unfinished work. He lived in the hearts of people. He hasn’t passed away, he’s become immortal.

Kalyan Singh’s last rites will be conducted on the bank of the Ganga in Narora in the evening of August 23 which is announced as holiday .
