New Delhi: Union Health Minister, Mansukh Mandaviya on Tuesday said that the Covid-19 vaccine slots can be booked through the MyGov Corona Helpdesk on WhatsApp. Also, it will help the users to find out their nearest vaccination centre. He further explained the procedure as to how to book it, verify and then follow the requisite steps.
Mr Mandaviya tweeted, “Paving a new era of citizen convenience. Now, book COVID19 vaccine slots easily on your phone within minutes. Send ‘Book Slot’ to MyGovIndia Corona Helpdesk on WhatsApp, Verify OTP, Follow the steps.”
Since the launch of the MyGov Corona Helpdesk on WhatsApp in March 2020, it has appeared as one of the most genuine sources of COVID-related information. It worked as a crucial tool in fighting the pandemic for more than 4 crore users in India, said WhatsApp.
Abhishek Singh, the CEO of MyGov said, “Since its launch, MyGov Corona Helpdesk, enabled with support from Haptik and Turn.io, has evolved into a go-to platform that is not only helping citizens with authentic Corona-related information but is now also aiding them in the process of vaccine booking as also finding vaccination centers and slots and downloading vaccination certificates.”
Also, MyGov and WhatsApp had brought in the ability for users to download their respective vaccine certificates from the chatbot earlier on August 5. As of now, more than 32 lakh certificates have been downloaded by users.
