England won 3rd Test against India, level series 1-1

India lost 3rd in the match of series against England at Headingley, Leeds, and the series lies at 1-1.

After a remarkable win of India at Lords, India played their third match of series at Leeds and lost the match by 1 Inning and 76 runs. Ollie Robinson took fifer and became a man of the match while Cheteshwar Pujara scored important 91 runs. Indian skipper Virat Kohli who was looking in good touch went back to the pavilion after scoring 55 runs.

On the 3rd day after the solid defence of Rohit Sharma, Cheteshwar Pujara and Virat Kohli India were in a good position with 8 wickets left in hand but on the 4th day, India lost their 8 wickets by scoring 63 runs. India couldn’t survive till lunch and handed over England their first win of the series.

After three years India has lost series by an Inning. India’s last inning defeat also came against England in 2018, when they lost by an innings and 159 runs.

Currently, series level at 1-1 and next match of the series begins from 2nd September at The Oval.
