MATHURA: On Monday 30th of August, Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath directed a full ban on liquor and meat sale in Mathura. This was said during the Krishnotsava 2021 programme in Mathura.
He said “The officers concerned are directed to make plans for the ban as well as for the engagement of people involved in such activities in some other trade.”
He also said that the people who are involved in selling liquor and meat may start to sell milk and revive the treasure of Mathura which was known for the huge production of animal milk.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has also prayed to put an end to Covid-19. Cabinet Minister Laxmi Narain Chaudhary and Shrikant Sharma were also there at the ceremony.
Yogi Adityanath praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for giving a new path for the country. He also said that places of value that have been neglected a long time are now being renewed.
He also said that every effort will be made to formulate the “birj bhumi”. We will be using modern techniques and cultural and spiritual heritage for the development of the region.
