India to skip the SCO anti-terror exercise

NEW DELHI: The Shanghai Cooperation Organisation consists of Russia, China, India, Pakistan, and four Central Asian countries, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan. It is interesting to note that India will participate in SCO’s Peace Mission 2021, which will take place in Russia. It will be undertaken at Orenburg Oblast, Russia, from September 11 to 25.

The Pabbi-Antiterror 2021 was announced in March of 2021 to counter-terrorism, separatism, and extremism under the Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure. RATS’ office is in Tashkent with Pakistan presenting the preliminary information on the design and work of Pabbi-Antiterror 2021.

India had skipped the 2020 SCO counter-terror exercise – Kavkaz, which took place in Russia. The exercise came during the Chinese infiltration in Indian soil at the Line of Actual Control in Eastern Ladakh’s Galwan, resulting in the killing of 20 Indian soldiers.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will take part in the SCO heads of state summit, 2021 in Tajikistan’s capital Dushanbe.
