Kabul: On Saturday, Lt General Faiz Hameed arrived in Kabul amidst the heavy gun fighting which is going on right now between Taliban fighters and the soldiers of National Resistance Front in Panjshir Valley, Afghanistan. The ISI chief arrived in Kabul leading a Pakistani delegation, at a time when Taliban government is about to form it’s government in Afghanistan.

The Pakistani intelligence agency ISI has often been accused of sheltering and providing military training to Taliban fighters and intelligence to the leaders to overthrow the people’s elected government of Afghanistan although ISI have often labelled these accusations as false and exaggerated.

While speaking to the reporters in Washington, India’s Foreign Secretary Harsh Shringla also accused Pakistan of supporting and nurturing Taliban to overthrow the Afghan government.

As per reports, almost all the top leaders of Taliban have their bases and families in Pakistani cities such as Karachi, Lahore and Quetta. There have been instances when the Pakistani ISI chief Hameed Faiz was photographed with the top Taliban leaders which definitely proves that ISI has played a major role in supporting Taliban to overthrow the government of Afghanistan.
