Cristiano Ronaldo scores double on his return debut to Manchester United at Old Trafford

MANCHESTER: Manchester United won their match against Newcastle United 4-1 at the Old Trafford with Cristiano Ronaldo scoring two goals followed By Bruno Fernandes and Jesse Lingard who scored one each to seal a comprehensive win for Manchester United.

The game started with Manchester United testing Newcastle United’s defense with some good passing but they were no able to find the breakthrough. Manchester United finally broke the deadlock atthe brink of half time when Mason Greenwood’s shot which keeper was not able to grab properly gave Cristiano Ronaldo an easy tap in. Newcastle United were only able to score a single goal Javier Manquillio scoring at the start of the second half to level the scores 1-1.

As soon as Manquillio scored the equaliser, after 6 minutes the newly arrived Portuguese scored another goal to give Manchester United the lead with a daunting run towards the box and a clean left foot strike which went through the legs of the Newcastle’s goalkeeper.

After the second goal there was no turning back for Manchester United as another Portuguese midfielder Bruno Fernandes scored a peach of goal from outside the box to extend the lead and at the end, in the extra time of 90 minutes Jesse Lingard finished off a scintillating team move to finish the game at 4-1. With this win, Manchester United went to the top of the table in the Premier League which includes 3 wins and 1 draw.

It was just a remarkable return for the CR7, for whom the crowd came in the the stadium early to watch him warm up. Throughout the match his every touch and shot was cheered and of course as he always does the, Ronaldo thanked the crowd with his two goals to win the match for Manchester United.
