CBSE: No registration or examination fees for students who lost their parents in the pandemic

NEW DELHI: On Tuesday Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) released a letter that stated they will not charge registration and examination fees for those students who has lost their parents in the pandemic.

The Covid-19 pandemic hit the country badly, keeping this in view and its impact on students, CBSE has given relief to students for academic session 2021-2022.

“The Covid-19 pandemic has impacted the country adversely and keeping in view of its impact on students, CBSE as a special measure for academic session 2021-22, has decided that neither the examination fees nor the registration fees will be charged by the board from the students who have lost both parents, or surviving parent, or legal guardian/adoptive parents due to the Covid-19 pandemic,” says the circular signed by Controller of Examination, Sanyam Bhardwaj.

The schools while submitting the LOC will be required to provide details of such students, verification of that is also a requirement.
