NEW DELHI: In the last 24 hours, India reported 24,354 new COVID-19 cases, a little drop of 8.8% from yesterday. Kerala was the epicentre of the outbreak, with 13,834 new cases reported in only 24 hours.
The active caseload in India has dropped to 2,73,889, the lowest level in 197 days, accounting for less than 0.81 percent of all cases, the lowest level since March 2020. The COVID-19 recovery rate in the United States was 97.86 percent, the highest since March 2020. In the last 24 hours, at least 25,455 recoveries have been made, bringing the overall number of recoveries to 3,30,68,599.
So far, the Nationwide Vaccination Drive has resulted in the administration of 89.74 crore vaccine doses.
Kerala recorded the highest number of new cases in India, 13,834, with 95 deaths, bringing the total number of infections to 46,94,719 and deaths to 25,182. There were 32 new COVID-19 cases in Delhi, but no deaths, and the city’s positive rate is currently at 0.05 percent. In the nation’s capital, there are 409 active Covid cases.
