Schools for all classes to open from 1st November in Delhi, Delhi University says, will decide after Diwali

NEW DELHI: The Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi has announced that the schools in the National Capital Territory of Delhi would open from 1st November for all the classes, however, online classes will also continue. Other educational institutions in the capital would also be opened up.

The decision was taken after the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) meeting, considering the Covid-19 situation under control in the capital.

University of Delhi’s Vice Chancellor, Yogesh Singh said, we would be deciding after Diwali, if the situation remains fine. As there is a fear that Covid-19 may recur, PTI reports on Tuesday.

Students and professors from Delhi University have time and again called for the absolute re-opening of colleges. As the University had begun with the laboratory classes for final year students earlier.
