Continuous rainfall in Tamil Nadu to last for another few days

CHENNAI: Rain showers started again in Chennai and nearby districts after a slight downshift.

“It is possible to become a depression and move across north Tamil Nadu’s and south Andhra Pradesh’s coast on November 11 evening”, the Metrological department said.

The weather scenario is probably to develop a widespread rainfall in Tamil Nadu for the next three to four days.

The downpour is observed to be scattered, heavy, very heavy and extremely heavy in specific regions and light to moderate in other areas.

“Thunderstorm with infrequent heavy to very heavy rain with unusually extreme heavy rain is potentially to occur over Tiruvallur, Kallakurichi, Salem, Vellore, Tiruvannamalai, Ranipet and Tirupattur districts of Tamil Nadu on the 11th of November, said the department.

Also, heavy rain is likely in the Nilgiris, Coimbatore, Chengalpattu, Namakkal, Tiruchirappalli, Chennai and Puducherry.

The downpour is possible in various districts of Tamil Nadu and thunderstorms with lightning is potentially to happen in deserted regions all over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal, from the 12th to 14th of November.
