NEW DELHI: The schools in Delhi which recently opened four days back, will be closed from Friday due to air pollution announced the Environment Minister, Gopal Rai.
“We had reopened schools considering the forecast that air quality would improve. However, the air pollution levels have increased again and we have decided to shut schools from Friday till further orders,” Gopal Rai said.
Speaking against the decision of the Government of NCT of Delhi, about re opening schools, the court says, “three-year-olds and four-year-olds are going to schools but adults are working from home.”
The Supreme Court has given a 24 hours ultimatum to Centre, Delhi, and neighboring states to act against the major causes of air pollution, which are industries and vehicles.
