Entry to public places to be prohibited for unvaccinated: Proposal from Government of NCT of Delhi to DDMA

NEW DELHI: The Government of NCT of Delhi has proposed Delhi Disaster Management (DDMA) that the entry of unvaccinated people to public places and government offices should be prohibited from December 15.

The proposal also makes the suggestion of banning the entry of those who have received only one dose of the Covid-19 vaccine to such places from March 31, 2022, with that suggests incentives like cash prizes or discounts for getting vaccinated.

The major reason for the proposal has been after COVID-19 positive cases were reported from international flights from ‘at-risk’ countries on Wednesday.

It is noteworthy that these are government proposals submitted to DDMA and not a final decision has been taken as of yet.

The Omicron COVID-19 variant seems to be spreading faster than the other variants. And there exists chances of fully vaccinated people getting infected by the variant.
