Chandeep Singh wins India’s first ever medal in the history of Para Taekwondo World Championship, first Para-Athlete from Jammu and Kashmir to achieve such milestone

NEW DELHI: On Sunday, Para-Athlete Chandeep Singh has created history by winning silver medal in Men’s plus 80 kg event at 9th Para World Taekwondo Championships at Istanbul in Turkey.

It has been India’s first ever medal in the history of Para Taekwondo World Championship.

Singh is also the first Para-Athlete from Jammu and Kashmir to achieve such a milestone. He has been trained under Taekwondo Coach in Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council, Atul Pangotra.

Lieutenant Governor, Farooq Khan’s advisor has congratulated Singh for the win. With that, Nuzhat Gull also congratulated and has assured all logistics and help in his future efforts.
