“In the meeting of the GST Council to be held tomorrow, I will raise the demand for keeping the tax on clothes low” says, Manish Sisodia

NEW DELHI: Manish Sisodia, Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi has said on Twitter that, “Textile traders are opposing the increase in GST rates from 5% to 12%. Their demand is justified.”

Sisodia claimed that, “Aam Aadmi Party and Delhi Government under the leadership of Arvind Kejriwal have always been in favour of keeping the tax rates low.”

He further said that, “In the meeting of the GST Council to be held tomorrow, I will raise the demand for keeping the tax on clothes low.”

Union Finance Minister, Nirmala Sitharaman would chair the 46th meeting of the GST Council in New Delhi, tomorrow.
